Can Colour-Blind Distinguish Colour Palettes?
Let c : E(G) → [k] be a colouring, not necessarily proper, of edges of a graph G. For a vertex v ∈ V , let c(v) = (a1, . . . , ak), where ai = |{u : uv ∈ E(G), c(uv) = i}|, for i ∈ [k]. If we re-order the sequence c(v) non-decreasingly, we obtain a sequence c∗(v) = (d1, . . . , dk), called a palette of a vertex v. This can be viewed as the most comprehensive information about colours incident w...
متن کاملColour-blind Can Distinguish Colour Pallets
Let c : E → {1, . . . , k} be an edge colouring of a connected graph G = (V,E). Each vertex v is endowed with a naturally defined pallet under c, understood as the multiset of colours incident with v. If δ(G) > 2, we obviously (for k large enough) may colour the edges of G so that adjacent vertices are distinguished by their pallets of colours. Suppose then that our coloured graph is examined b...
متن کاملComputerised Simulation of Colour-blind and Colour Enhancement assisted Colour-blind
This paper presents the computerised simulation of colour-blindness and proposes a colour enhancement technique to aid colour-blinded people to use Visual Display Units (VDU). With the red-green colour perception difficulties, the ISH model has been used to develop the algorithms. The simulator and colour enhancement have been tested by colour-blind people and compared to existing simulators fo...
متن کاملTetraquarks with colour-blind forces in chiral quark models
We discuss the stability of multiquark systems within the recent model of Glozman et al. where the chromomagnetic hyperfine interaction is replaced by pseudoscalar-meson exchange contributions. We find that such an interaction binds a heavy tetraquark systems QQq̄q̄ (Q = c, b and q = u, d) by 0.2− 0.4 GeV. This is at variance with results of previous models where ccq̄q̄ is unstable. 1 e-mail: u2162...
متن کاملAre dogs red–green colour blind?
Neurobiological and molecular studies suggest a dichromatic colour vision in canine species, which appears to be similar to that of human red-green colour blindness. Here, we show that dogs exhibit a behavioural response similar to that of red-green blind human subjects when tested with a modified version of a test commonly used for the diagnosis of human deuteranopia (i.e. the Ishihara's test)...
